♦ ISBP POSTPONED TO 2022 ♦
Dear Colleagues,
The Corona pandemic is still highly active, and many countries are currently facing a 3rd or even a 4th wave. Although several efficient vaccines have been developed, it is not clear at what time the pandemic will be under control and when international conferences in presence mode will be possible again without any risks. The organizing and scientific committee members of ISBP2021 have therefore decided to postpone the symposium by another year to September 2022.
In order not to lose the contact among the ISBP "family" (and also the European version ESBP), we replaced ISBP2020/2021 and ESBP2021 with a series of weekly international webinars that took place every Thursday from 6 May until 8 July. Thank to the very interesting topics that were presented, more than 800 researchers from the 5 continents followed these webinars and made this online event a success. On that occasion, we sincerely thank all 19 speakers and the chairmen who shared their knowledge in the exciting field of biopolymers.
To date, the organizers intend to realize the 18th ISBP Symposium in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, from September 13-16, 2022.
However, depending on the development of the Corona pandemic, the final decision concerning the next ISBP meeting will be published on our homepage by the end of this year.
